CUT
Diamonds are first sorted according to their shape i.e. Round Brilliants, Single Cuts, Marquises, Princess Cut etc.

COLOR
They are then sorted according to color i.e. Fine White, Commercial White, Top Light Browns, Top Silver Capes / Light Color Or in Gia Terms from D to Z

CLARITY
They are finally sorted according to clarity i.e. from cleanish to I3 and the rejections

CARAT
These are then sieved according to sizes i.e. weight. Normally you have lots -.01, .01-.02, .025-.07, .08 -.17 PTS and larger sizes.
